Michigan City Residents Accused of Dealing Meth, Narcotics following Hamlet Traffic Stop

Two Michigan City residents are accused of dealing methamphetamine and narcotics, following a Hamlet traffic stop. Hamlet Police say they pulled over a vehicle in the area of U.S. 30 and Starke County Road 600 East early Friday morning.

A Starke County K-9 officer was also reportedly on the scene, and officers say they found a large quantity of substances that they suspect to be methamphetamine and heroin. Hamlet Police say Lamar Bush, 47, and Chelsey Patty, 29, were being held on suspicion of dealing in narcotics, dealing methamphetamine, and possession of heroin, but more charges may be coming.

Officers note that all subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
