The North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation’s longtime treasurer has announced his retirement. Guy Richie will step down at the end of February.
“He has been here for over 30-some years and kept this school corporation afloat,” Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin said during this month’s school board meeting. “And I won’t make a big deal out of that. He will be here for several more months. But I do want to thank him and tell him how grateful we are.”
Richie told board members that he felt blessed to have had the job and to work for his former school corporation. His retirement was unanimously accepted, as part of this month’s list of personnel items.
