The death of a Francesville teenager is under investigation. The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office says Shannon J. Bretzinger, 17, was pronounced dead at Pulaski Memorial Hospital Friday evening by Chief Deputy Coroner John Behny.
An autopsy and toxicology test will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death. Behny and Francesville Town Marshal Doug Lee are investigating.
West Central School Superintendent Dan Zylstra said Saturday that students who need assistance should not hesitate to contact someone, and staff members will be checking their emails and voicemails over the weekend.
Monday is a planned eLearning day. Zylstra says when students return to class on Tuesday, West Central will have extra counselors and a few local ministers available, and the high school will have places set aside “for students to process things together.”
