The West Central School Corporation will hold off on hiring a full-time athletic director for a year. Last week, the school board agreed to have the high school principal and assistant principal split those duties in the meantime, according to Superintendent Dan Zylstra.
“Our athletic director had resigned back at the end of July,” Zylstra explains, “and we have decided, since there’s uncertainty surrounding COVID and athletic seasons this year, our high school principal and assistant principal, Mr. Scott Ritchie and Mrs. Angie Radtke, they are going to go ahead and be co-interim athletic directors for this school year.”
Zylstra says West Central does plan to hire an administrative assistant to help them.
