Drive-Through Food Distributions Planned for Thursday, Friday

Food banks will be distributing food in the local area today and tomorrow. A drive-through distribution will be held today from 10:00 a.m. to noon CDT at the James R. Hardesty Hamlet-Davis Township Fire Station and Community Center, according to the Northern Indiana Food Bank’s website.

Items will be available for free on a first come, first served basis for up to 400 households in need of food assistance. It’s sponsored by the Starke County Community Foundation’s Hardesty Memorial Endowment Fund.

Food Finders Food Bank says its mobile pantry will be at the Francesville Apostolic Christian Church tomorrow. The drive-through distribution starts at 11:00 a.m. EDT. Items such as fresh produce, frozen meat, canned goods, baked goods, and laundry soap will be distributed to those meeting income guidelines. Food Finders asks clients not to arrive before 10:30 and to stay in their vehicles at all times.
