Today is the first day to vote early in-person for the 2020 General Election. If you live in Starke County, you’ll have chances to cast an in-person absentee ballot at the Starke County Courthouse, the North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department, or the Koontz Lake Property Owners Building.
Clerk Bernadette Manuel told WKVI’s Charlie Adams that the setup will be identical at all of those locations. “You will have the two clerks that will get you checked in and voted, and there’ll be a representative of the Clerk’s Office at the satellite offices, so it’ll look just like the early voting in the Clerk’s Office,” Manuel explained.
Voting at the courthouse will take place weekdays between now and October 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can also vote there Saturday, October 24 and Saturday, October 31 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Monday, November 2 from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
The North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department early voting site will be open Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23 from noon to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Koontz Lake Property Owners Building will be open for voters on Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 from noon to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, October 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Pulaski County residents can vote early at the Pulaski County Justice Center weekdays through October 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT. Voting will also be held there on Saturday, October 24, Saturday, October 31, and Monday, November 2 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Pulaski County voters can also cast an early ballot at the Francesville Fire Station on Saturday, October 24 and Saturday, October 31 from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
Those meeting eligibility requirements may request to vote by mail, instead. The last day to turn in an application is October 22.
