The Town of Hamlet’s 2021 budget will be up for the town council’s final adoption tonight. The proposal calls for a total budget of just over $459,000, including a General Fund of more than $322,000.
During last month’s public hearing, Clerk-Treasurer Kristina Pitts explained that the only fund to see a cut is Cumulative Capital Development, which is typically made available to the fire department. It’s set to drop to $5,500, a decrease of $1,750 from this year.
Tonight’s Hamlet Town Council meeting will be held in Hamlet Town Hall, following the 6:30 p.m. zoning board meeting.
