The Knox Community School Corporation will switch to virtual learning for the week after fall break.
Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart says the change is due to the number of staff members who are quarantined, either because they’ve tested positive for COVID-19 or been in contact with someone who has. As it stands, he says he doesn’t have enough staff available to effectively and efficiently run the school district.
The Knox Community School Corporation is on fall break for the next week. Virtual learning is scheduled for October 26 through 30. In-person classes are scheduled to resume November 2.
Reichhart adds that the decision was made after consultation with the Starke County Health Department.
