North Judson Man Sentenced to 14 Years in Prison after Pleading Guilty to Receipt of Child Pornography

Having more than 2,000 images of child pornography has reportedly led to a 14-year prison sentence for a North Judson man. Henry Wood, 41, pleaded guilty in federal court to receipt of child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney Thomas Kirsch.

Court documents say Wood admitted to downloading child pornography to his cell phone in December of 2018. That included what the U.S. Attorney’s Office calls “sadistic images of children under 12 engaging in sex acts.” The press release also says that Wood is “a former gang member with an extensive criminal history.”

Kirsch says those who commit crimes exploiting children are among the worst offenders in the criminal justice system. He says his office and partner agencies will do everything in their power to investigate and prosecute them. The FBI investigated the case.

Wood was sentenced to 14 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
