Voter Registration Deadline Is Monday

Those who’d like to vote in next month’s election but are not registered have just a few days to get that done.

“The deadline is October 5, on Monday, which is right around the corner,” Starke County Clerk Bernadette Manuel told WKVI’s Charlie Adams on Friday, “so if you’re wanting to register or if you’re wanting to vote in November, now’s the time to get registered because there’s not much time left.”

Residents have until the close of business Monday to register at their county clerk’s office or until midnight to register online at IndianaVoters.com. On that website, you can also check and see whether you’re already registered. To be eligible register, you must be a citizen of the United States and at least 18 years of age by Election Day and have lived in the precinct at least 30 days before the election.

For more information, you can reach voter registration officials in the Starke County Clerk’s Office at 574-772-9160, the Pulaski County Clerk’s Office at 574-946-4401, and the Marshall County Clerk’s Office at 574-935-8713.
