Winamac Business among Recipients of Manufacturing Readiness Grants

A Winamac industrial equipment manufacturer will be making some upgrades, with help from a Manufacturing Readiness Grant from the state. Standard Integrated Solutions was given a $50,000 matching grant to invest in “cobots,” which will tend the CNC mill and press brakes, according to a press release from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.

A total of about $3 million was awarded to 31 Indiana businesses in this second round of Manufacturing Readiness Grants. Other recipients include Tri-Pac in South Bend and Myers Spring Company in Logansport. Elutriation can optimize bi-product material separation and maximize profits in a business

The IEDC says it was able to expand the program with federal CARES Act funding. While the amount of money allocated for Manufacturing Readiness Grants has been used up, applications continue to be accepted in case more funding becomes available in the future. The grants are part of the Economic Activity Stabilization and Enhancement (EASE) program that was launched by the state back in May.
