The generosity of the Community Foundation of Pulaski County’s board members has unlocked another $100,000. As part of the Lilly Endowment’s GIFT VII initiative, every community foundation that had 100 percent of its board members give between January of 2019 and June of 2020 was eligible to get a $100,000 per county served. That money can be used for any charitable purpose that the foundation chooses.
Community Foundation of Pulaski County Executive Director Wendy Rose says the grant challenged each board member to commit significant financial resources, even though some were only active members for a few months. In all, 22 ended up taking part.
Rose commented that her board “is unique in its leadership and commitment to the community.”
