Tippecanoe River State Park will soon have firewood available. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says firewood cutting permits will be on sale from January 4 to February 26. The public will be allowed to cut up and remove certain trees that have fallen due to natural causes or have been dropped by property staff.
The cost is $10 for a pickup truck load. That money will go toward resource management and restoration efforts, including tree replacement. Firewood permits may be purchased weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the park office. For more information, call 574-946-3213.
