The Starke County Park Board will get updates on proposed Yellow River kayak launches and a number of other projects tonight. Engineering firm Jones Petrie Rafinski has offered to do the design work and much of the project management for a first round of four kayak launches for just under $7,900.
Additional quotes, as well as potential grants to pay for the project, are expected to be discussed tonight. Board members will also consider paperwork for the donation of land for a possible kayak launch at State Road 23. The donation has been discussed for years, but hasn’t been finalized yet.
The park board will also get updates on its new website and the newly-dedicated Veterans Memorial Plaza. Tonight’s Starke County Park Board meeting starts at 6:00 in Starke County Annex Building No. 1.
