The Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation Board of Finance got its yearly look at the school district’s fiscal indicators Monday. Superintendent Dara Chezem says there were no major areas of concern.
According to data on the Indiana Distressed Unit Appeal Board’s website, Eastern Pulaski had an overall operating surplus in 2019, the first year that happened since 2013. Both the Education and Operations funds were in positive territory in 2019. The state website also shows that Eastern Pulaski’s enrollment has been on a downward trend since the 2017 fall count, going from 1,287 down to 1,124 in the fall of 2020.
Chezem says School Board President Tim Rausch and Secretary Beth Ruff were elected to the same positions on the board of finance.
