A retail business has been able to purchase space in Downtown Winamac, thanks to some financing help from Pulaski County. The county commissioners last week approved a $144,000 Revolving Loan Fund application from Alisha and Jeff Becker.
Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer presented the request, following the commission’s favorable recommendation. “They intend to buy a couple of buildings on Pearl Street here in Winamac, where they . . . actually already have moved the clothing consignment business Mrs. Becker runs and then become landlords of the two existing tenants,” Origer explained.
It’s a 10-year loan, at three-percent interest.
