The Winamac Town Council is expected to open bids for the demolition of an abandoned grain elevator tonight. The town recently took ownership of the property near Logan and Jefferson streets. The goal is to redevelop it into a recreational area.
Council members will meet in special session tonight at 6:00 EST in the Winamac Municipal Utilities Complex to discuss real estate, personnel, and any other matters. That will follow two closed executive sessions with similar discussion topics, starting at 5:00.
