Food Distributions Scheduled in Knox, Francesville

Food banks are planning distributions in Knox and Francesville. A drive-through food distribution will be held tomorrow, February 18 from 10:00 a.m. to noon CST at the Knox United Methodist Church at 201 South Shield Street, according to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana’s website. Items will be available on a first come, first served basis for those in need of food assistance.

Meanwhile, the Food Finders Food Bank Mobile Pantry will visit the Francesville Apostolic Christian Church on Friday, February 19, according to the food bank’s website. Items such as produce, frozen meat, canned goods, baked goods, and laundry soap will be distributed to those meeting income guidelines.

Friday’s distribution starts at 11:00 a.m. EST. Food Finders asks clients not to arrive before 10:30 and to stay in their vehicles at all times. The Francesville Apostolic Christian Church is located at 210 U.S. 421.

Representatives from the Food Bank of Northern Indiana will be at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Culver Wednesday, March 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET for a drive-thru mobile food distribution event. 

Assorted food items will be pre-boxed and pre-bagged and offered free of charge on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. One box will be distributed per household. 

Participants should stay in the vehicle and open the trunk of the car to receive items.  If the trunk does not open, an area will be available to self-load items.
