Pulaski Council to Vote on Over $1 Million in Additional Appropriation Requests Tonight

More than $1 million in additional appropriations will be up for the Pulaski County Council’s final approval tonight. Many of those are appropriations that were approved last year but weren’t entirely spent by December 31. A lot of that is to cover up-front costs for various projects that can be reimbursed from other funding sources later.

Tonight’s Pulaski County Council meeting starts at 7:00 EST at the Pulaski County Highway Garage in Winamac, following a joint session with the county commissioners at 6:00. Commissioner Chuck Mellon is expected to present his proposals to overhaul the county’s Maintenance Department and IT procedures. County officials may also continue debating the need to hire an outside company to conduct a study of the county government’s workforce.

Tonight’s meetings will be streamed live on the Pulaski County, Indiana, Government Facebook page.
