The Starke County Community Foundation is looking for a new director of development. The foundation announced last week that Jessica Martinović is stepping down from the position. A press release noted, “Martinović will soon be a mother of two, and she is planning to resign as Director of Development to raise her children.”
Her connection with the foundation goes back a decade, starting when she was named Starke County’s Lilly Endowment Community Scholar. She then became an intern at the foundation and later joined the Northern Indiana Community Foundation as a communications specialist and then marketing/communications coordinator. She took over as Starke County Community Foundation director of development in 2018. Since then, the foundation’s net assets have grown by more than $3 million, according to the press release.
Martinović says one of her favorite parts of working at the community foundation has been giving grants to organizations serving Starke County’s children.
Those interested in being the Starke County Community Foundation’s next director of development are asked to provide a cover letter, résumé, and three references by March 1. More information can be found at nicf.org/careers.
