West Central’s athletic facilities are getting an upgrade. Superintendent Dan Zylstra says work is starting on the new softball press box.
“Mr. Brian Pilarski, our softball coach, was able to get some grants from the community foundation,” Zylstra explains. “I believe he got an REMC grant, as well, and then the corporation and some other donations. I believe FBi is donating some materials and some labor. And we’re going to get that going, so that we have a nice new softball press box to start the year.”
Meanwhile, Zylstra says West Central has gotten a nine-hole Frisbee golf course. It will be installed around the campus in the spring.
