Eastern Pulaski to Meet with Seven Other School Boards to Voice Opposition to Proposed Legislation

Not one, not two, but eight school boards will gather for one big meeting tonight to voice their opposition to various bills in the Indiana General Assembly. The Eastern Pulaski School Board will be among those meeting in Monon tonight to consider a series of resolutions opposing House Bill 1005, Senate Bill 412, and Senate Bill 413. Among other things, those pieces of legislation would create Education Savings Accounts and expand voucher programs.

Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents Executive Director Dr. J.T. Coopman is expected to speak tonight, and members of the public will have a chance to speak. Tonight’s joint school board meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. EST at the North White Middle-High School Auditorium in Monon.
