Pulaski County officials will discuss roadwork, banking, and health insurance during this morning’s county commissioners meeting. The commissioners and Treasurer Teresa Bryant are expected to convene as the board of finance to choose a bank for cash management services.
The county’s gotten bids from First National Bank of Monterey, 1st Source Bank, and First Federal Savings Bank. Bryant told the commissioners last month that First National has historically offered the best deal but the others have been catching up. “One thing that has set apart First National from some of the other bids we’ve gotten in the past is they don’t charge us any fees, as far as stop payment fees, any other type of fees that a lot of other banks had been in the past,” she explained.
In other business this morning, the commissioners will appoint an animal control officer, while Highway Superintendent Gary Kruger will discuss Community Crossings projects.
This morning’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting starts at 8:30 EDT in the Pulaski County Highway Garage. It will be streamed live on the Pulaski County, Indiana, Government Facebook page.
