Starke County officials may soon be reviewing their zoning regulations, following noise complaints about a dirt bike track.
A track in the Range Road area was brought up during a recent county commissioners meeting. County Attorney Marty Lucas said that previous discussions boiled down to the need to purchase equipment to monitor noise levels. But first, he wanted to check into whether the track in question was legally allowed to be there at all. While the area is apparently zoned for light industrial, Lucas thought a dirt bike track would still probably require a special exception from the board of zoning appeals.
County officials planned to do some more research to figure out what to do next.
