West Central students will get to leave campus for religious education during the school day. Superintendent Dan Zylstra says a released time religious instruction agreement was recently approved by the school board.
Over the past few months, a group of parents has expressed interest in letting students attend a Lifewise Academy program, similar to an offering currently available in White County. That required some policy updates, according to Zylstra.
In other business, Zylstra says the school board finalized an update to West Central’s Title IX policy, to bring it in line with the latest federal guidelines.
