Food Distributions Planned in Donaldson, Culver and Monterey

Those in need of food assistance have a number of options for help this week. Tomorrow, April 21, the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ will host a drive-through distribution from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. EDT at Ancilla College in Donaldson. They plan to give out more than 500 boxes, with more than 30 pounds of food each.

They will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and no identification is required. The distribution will be held in Parking Lot C. Individuals are asked not to arrive before 5:00 p.m., and masks are required for safety. The distribution is a partnership with Cultivate, Farm to Family, and other organizations.

Meanwhile, the Food Bank of Northern Indiana will hold drive-through distributions tomorrow, April 21 from 10:00 a.m. to noon EDT at Trinity Lutheran Church in Culver and Thursday, April 22 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Triton High School in Bourbon, according to the food bank’s Facebook page.

Then on Friday, April 23, the Food Finders Food Bank Mobile Pantry will visit Monterey. A drive-through distribution will be held at the Monterey Lions Club starting at 11:00 a.m. EDT, according to the food bank’s website. Food items will be available to those meeting income guidelines. Individuals are asked not to arrive before 10:30 and to stay in their vehicles at all times.
