The Knox Board of Works recently got an update on code enforcement efforts. Director of Building and Code Compliance Kenny Pfost said 504 East Culver Road has been under enforcement for quite some time, but there’s still quite a bit to clean up. “It’s still in the estate, so as far as penalties and everything, there’s really nothing, at this point, that we can do,” Pfost explained.
Meanwhile, Pfost said he imposed a $2,500 fine on 342-344 West Spruce Drive, until the owner gets it cleaned up to the city’s satisfaction. “He said he was going to contact me because they were all done. It’s not all done,” Pfost said. “Part of the order was to get all the trash that has blown into the neighbor’s yard. There’s some furniture that they took from their property and put it on the city’s property, that lot just to the east there, up on the hill.”
But Pfost said the junk has been cleaned up at 1498 East John Street. The only thing remaining there was for the owner to move a trailer to the back of the property.
