A traffic stop on U.S. 30 allegedly turned up drugs and landed two Nebraska residents in jail. LaPorte County sheriff’s deputies say they pulled over a vehicle for an equipment violation in the 6300 block of West U.S. 30 at around 1:45 Tuesday morning.
Police say the driver, Angela M. Gaines, 27, and the front seat passenger, Paul L. Hargrove, 37, both of Ainsworth, Nebraska, each had suspended driver’s licenses. When they searched the vehicle, police say they found a clear plastic bag with different types of pills, another plastic bag with a white powdery substance, and additional bags containing marijuana.
Gaines and Hargrove are both accused of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana.
