Local officials are taking steps to raise awareness of the issue of child abuse during the month of April. The Starke County Commissioners last week approved a Child Abuse Prevention Month proclamation.
It calls on residents, businesses, churches, health care professionals, and other organizations to join in efforts to support families and strengthen the community.
