Winamac Town Council Approves Quote for Splash Pad Shelter

Plans are coming together for Winamac’s future splash pad site. The town council last week officially hired the FORM-IT Corporation to build a new shelter for $80,000, according to Town Manager Brad Zellers. He says he solicited quotes from three companies, but FORM-IT was the only one to respond.

The Owen Abbott Memorial Splash Pad is being built along Logan Street, replacing an abandoned grain elevator that was recently demolished. The Community Foundation of Pulaski County has made over $139,000 in money raised for the canceled swimming pool project available for splash pad-related work.

Zellers says it’ll be a busy few weeks, but the splash pad is still on track to be ready by the end of May.
