The Town of Hamlet is expecting a slight decrease in insurance costs. The town council last week agreed to continue with 1st Source Insurance for the year. This year’s premium is $126 lower than last year’s.
However, 1st Source wants to make sure the list of park equipment is up to date, and council members noted that the new walking trail will have to be added. The uptick in construction has also increased the town’s liability somewhat, along with thee fact that the town’s putting the responsibility for building inspections on developers.
1st Source is also working with Hamlet to update its personnel policy handbook.
