North Judson Plans Splash Pad Ribbon Cutting

North Judson will dedicate its new splash pad on Memorial Day weekend. During Monday’s meeting, the town council scheduled a ribbon cutting for Saturday, May 29. No specific time was announced. The splash pad had a soft opening last fall.

Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe said bids for the new splash pad restrooms are expected in the next couple weeks. Construction will likely start in late June or early July.

Meanwhile, North Judson continues looking into updating its five-year park plan. Rowe said the town might be able to do it without hiring an outside consultant. He said smaller communities may be able to do the work themselves with help from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

The ultimate goal is to make North Judson eligible for Land and Water Conservation Fund matching grants.
