Eastern Pulaski school employees will get some extra money, thanks to federal COVID-19 relief.
Superintendent Dara Chezem says the school board approved stipends for teachers and support staff last week, using Eastern Pulaski’s share of the ESSER grant. “This is for work that was completed above and beyond a typical scope of work and required because of the challenges we faced due to COVID,” Chezem explains.
She says the stipend was also formalized in a memorandum of understanding with the Eastern Pulaski Teachers Association.
