Overturned Semi Disrupts Traffic on U.S. 30 in Starke County

An overturned semi disrupted traffic on U.S. 30 for several hours Monday. It happened around 11:20 a.m. near State Road 23, according to Starke County dispatchers.

No injuries were reported, but the highway reportedly had to be shut down for periods of time, as crews worked to clean up the steel that the truck was carrying. Cleanup was still underway as of 3:00 p.m. Drivers may want to avoid the area.

Meanwhile, INDOT said Monday afternoon that State Road 23 itself remained closed between State Roads 8 and 10, due to a possible culvert failure.
