Owner of Westville Business Arrested following Investigation into Stolen Auto Parts

The owner of a LaPorte County business was arrested, following a month-long investigation into the sale of stolen auto parts. LaPorte County sheriff’s deputies say they recovered several hundred auto parts last month from Catalytic Exchange, LLC on US 421 near Westville, after getting information that parts were being taken there and sold.

The investigation began on May 5, when officers got a report of a burglary at a home in rural Clinton Township. The owner of Catalytic Exchange, William T. Scott, 52, of Kouts, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of corrupt business influence.
