The Starke County Park Board is looking to be more responsive to complaints about the Bass Lake Beach and Campground. Rik Ritzler recently told the rest of the board that’s he’d gotten three or four complaints in the past few weeks.
“Now, they were relatively minor things, but with the fact that we only meet once a month, sometimes we may not be able to react to those complaints quickly enough,” Ritzler said.
The park board agreed to set up a chain of command for issues that can’t wait until the next meeting. All complaints should first be directed to Manager Larry Clarich. If the issue still isn’t resolved, the next contact would be Ritzler.
