The Starke County Park Board will continue discussing the Bass Lake Beach and Campground during a special meeting tonight. The county is still working through the kinks of taking direct control of the property from Callahan Development, LLC.
Among the issues discussed during last week’s regular meeting were the ownership of the piers, how to regulate food vendors, and the need for electrical updates. But board members also discussed plans for improvements, like a new kayak rental, the installation of new sand, and the shoreline conservation project.
Tonight’s Starke County Park Board meeting starts at 6:00 in Starke County Annex Building No. 1.
