The Tri-Township Consolidated School Corporation’s school nurse got some recognition during last month’s school board meeting. Allison Wright was surprised with a “hometown hero” award from Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial.
Managing Partner Alex Ferreira said the organization wanted to recognize Wright for all that she’s done for Tri-Township during a particularly challenging year. “For all the tummy aches to fevers to making sure all the students are current with their shot records, your hard work does not go unnoticed,” Ferreira said. “So you’re truly our hometown hero, and we thank you for all that you do at Tri-Township.”
Modern Woodmen representative Amy Welkie presented Wright with a certificate, gift, and first aid supplies for her office. She also gets $100 to donate to a nonprofit of her choice.
