Organizations planning events to bring visitors into Starke County have a chance to get up to $2,000. The Starke County Convention and Visitors Commission has announced another round of grants totaling $8,400.
The CVC says that money can be used for things like advertising, promotional activities, trade shows, special events, and recreation, but not operating expenses or salaries. Applications are due by September 3, and grant recipients will be notified by September 10.
The next round of grants is expected in the late spring or early summer of 2022. The funding comes from the county’s innkeepers tax.
