The developer of the Mammoth Solar project continues to line up a buyer for its electricity. AEP Energy will buy power under a long-term purchase agreement with Doral Renewables, LLC announced this week for the second phase of the project. An agreement for the first phase was executed in April.
Developer Nick Cohen said in a press release that Pulaski County is taking advantage of its location near two electric grid systems, and projects like Mammoth could help make Indiana energy independent. He also said they’re “proud to have such strong community and government support.” The project has been the topic of several heated public hearings and ongoing litigation.
