The Starke County Commissioners will continue discussing the county’s $4.4 million American Rescue Plan allocation this morning. An ARPA ordinance is on today’s agenda. Ideas for that funding so far include broadband upgrades, park improvements and beautification efforts in San Pierre, a new beach house at Bass Lake, and a new fire station and community center in Koontz Lake.
The commissioners will also get their monthly updates from EMS Director Travis Clary and Highway Superintendent Daniel Dipert. Starke County Economic Development Foundation Executive Director Lisa Dan is scheduled to present a request for a full-time position, and Carrie Block with 1st Choice Insurance will discuss liability quotes.
