Pulaski County Council to Hold Public Hearing on 2022 Budget Tonight

Pulaski County residents can weigh in on the 2022 budget proposal tonight. The county council will hold the required public hearing during tonight’s meeting.

The advertised budget is almost $19.3 million. That includes a General Fund of almost $8.3 million, a Highway Fund of almost $3.7 million, and an Economic Development Income Tax Fund of almost $900,000. However, those figures may come down before final adoption on October 11.

In other business tonight, Clerk JoLynn Behny will request funding for new e-poll pads, since vendor Microvote says the current iPads will no longer be supported. The council will also consider transfer requests from the sheriff, prosecutor, commissioners, Emergency Medical Services, and the Highway Department, along with an additional appropriation request from the Pulaski County Public Library.

Tonight’s Pulaski County Council meeting starts at 7:00 EDT in the Pulaski County Highway Garage. It will be streamed live on the Pulaski County, Indiana, Government Facebook page
