The Knox High School vocational wing cleared another procedural hurdle Tuesday. The school board officially approved additional work on the new wing.
Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart said the measure was a formality to complete the contracts that got preliminary approval last month. “This is including the guaranteed maximum price from Larson-Danielson, which is $3,597,247 without the alternates, and I think we’ve already approved three of the four alternates, so that number goes up a little bit,” Reichhart explained.
The project will be funded by a combination of federal ESSER money and leftover bond revenues from the current building project.
