No one from the public came to comment on the Oregon-Davis School Corporation’s 2022 budget during last month’s public hearing, according to Superintendent Bill Bennett. The proposed budget totals more than $9.9 million. That includes an Education Fund of over $3.9 million, an Operations Fund of more than $3.2 million, and a Referendum Fund of almost $1.1 million.
The proposed capital projects plan earmarks $50,000 each for playground equipment, sidewalk and parking lot improvements, and new carpeting, along with $75,000 for plumbing upgrades at the elementary school. The bus replacement plan proposed for the next five years would have Oregon-Davis purchase two vehicles in 2023 and four in 2026.
The budget, capital projects plan, and bus replacement plan will be up for approval on October 25.
