Now that the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation employs its school resource officer directly, ownership of his vehicle has officially been transferred to the school, as well. The school board Tuesday accepted the donation of the SRO car from the Town of North Judson.
School Corporation Treasurer Dalton Tunis said it will continue an ongoing partnership with the town. “So we will work with our insurance company and the BMV to get everything transferred over to us,” Tunis said. “And we will also make sure that all the appropriate decals are showing on the car now, and we’ll work with OTES here locally to take care of that.”
Officer Chris Kisela officially became a school employee over the summer.
The North Judson-San Pierre School Board also accepted donations of just over $1,300 from the Knox Masonic Lodge for the Music Department and $1,000 from Good Oil for school safety.
