The North Judson Town Council adopted its 2022 budget last week. It totals just over $2 million, including a General Fund of almost $954,000. Town officials would also have almost $387,000 in federal American Rescue Plan money they could use, plus almost $167,000 in county economic development income tax revenues.
Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe previously said that some major anticipated expenses include the town’s share of a new tanker truck for the fire department, paving projects, and a new full-time employee to be split between the utility and park departments.
Council Member Matt Brewer abstained from the final vote, due to his involvement with the North Judson-Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department. North Judson’s 2022 budget now goes to the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance for final approval.
