Pulaski Commissioners to Discuss EMA Lifetime Appointment Ordinance Today

Whether Pulaski County’s Emergency Management Agency director should have a lifetime appointment will be discussed by the county commissioners this morning. County Council member Kathi Thompson brought up the issue during last week’s joint session. She said the county’s ordinance granting a lifetime appointment has taken away some flexibility with the county’s budget.

Meanwhile, Tim Murray will present a petition to vacate an alley in the Lawton area, while Highway Superintendent Gary Kruger will discuss an upcoming round of bridge inspections. Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer will give updates on the Justice Center project and the county’s COVID-19 response.

This morning’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting starts at 8:30 EDT in the Pulaski County Highway Garage. It will be streamed live on the Pulaski County, Indiana, Government Facebook page
