Monday’s storms brought down trees and knocked out power in the local area. The North Judson-Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department says it responded to five incidents with trees large enough to block roads.
State Roads 10 and 39 were both completely blocked at one point, according to a department Facebook post, and on Toto Road, downed power lines and trees stranded two motorists inside their cars. A number of power outages were reported by NIPSCO and Kankakee Valley REMC.
