A caucus has been scheduled for Saturday July 23 to replace former Pulaski County Councilman Brian Young. Young, resigned from his position on June 29 after pleading guilty in a plea agreement with the State to Level 6 Felony charges of voting outside precinct residence in a plea hearing.
Pulaski County Council President Ken Boswell told WKVI News the deadline for candidacy is Wednesday, July 20 at 11 a.m. ET. At the current time, no one has announced their candidacy. Boswell said if a person is interested in filling the seat they would need to go to the Clerk’s Office in Winamac to fill out the proper paperwork. Following the filing process, Boswell said the candidate would need to get with his or her affiliated party’s chair person.
