The West Central School Corporation’s new Superintendent Dr. Cathy Rowe says she can’t imagine herself being anywhere else. The recent hire has already settled in, taking part in her first West Central School Board meeting July 7. She noted how appreciative she is to be part of West Central and how kind and welcoming everyone has been.
Rowe commented, “I was previously superintendent at Frontier. Frontier and West Central are pretty well aligned as far as those values about having a relationship with the students and staff that’s collegial, just an overall great place for students and staff. So I love it here and can’t imagine being anywhere else.”
Dr. Rowe told WKVI News she has over 30 years of experience in the education field. She mentioned she had also been an elementary teacher, principal, and alternative school director.
Dr. Rowe mentioned student registration begins on August 1. August 8 will be the new teacher orientation. August 9 will be Meet the Teacher night starting at 5:30 p.m. for K-6 students and 6 p.m. ET for students in grade 7-12.
